Which Hand Do You Read?
Traditional palmistry reads both hands but assigns different meanings to each:
Your dominant hand (usually the right for right-handed people) shows the life you are actively creating — your conscious choices, current circumstances, and the direction you are moving.
Your non-dominant hand shows your innate potential — the traits, talents, and tendencies you were born with. It represents your natural baseline before life experience shaped you.

The Four Major Lines
The Heart Line
The heart line runs horizontally across the upper palm, from beneath the little finger toward the index finger. It reveals your emotional nature, relationship patterns, and how you experience love.
A long, deep heart line reaching the index finger indicates someone who expresses emotions openly and loves deeply. A shorter heart line ending beneath the middle finger suggests someone who is practical about love and may prioritize personal freedom over emotional connection.

The Head Line
The head line runs horizontally across the middle of the palm, representing how you think, learn, and process information.
A long, straight head line indicates analytical, logical thinking. A curved head line suggests creativity and imagination. A short head line does not mean low intelligence — it means you prefer direct, practical thinking over abstract analysis.
The Life Line
The life line curves around the base of the thumb, from between the thumb and index finger down toward the wrist. Contrary to popular belief, it does NOT indicate how long you will live.
Instead, the life line reveals your vitality, life force, and major life changes. A deep, well-defined life line suggests robust physical energy and resilience. A faint or thin life line might indicate someone who tires easily or is more cerebral than physical.
The Fate Line
Not everyone has a fate line — and not having one does not mean you lack direction. The fate line runs vertically up the center of the palm.
A strong, unbroken fate line suggests a clear sense of purpose and career direction. A broken or fragmented fate line indicates career changes or a path that evolves through multiple phases.
The Mounts of the Palm
The fleshy pads at the base of each finger are called mounts. Each mount is associated with a planetary energy:
Mount of Jupiter (below index finger) — Ambition, leadership, confidence.
Mount of Saturn (below middle finger) — Discipline, responsibility, wisdom.
Mount of Apollo (below ring finger) — Creativity, self-expression, fame.
